Error and solution during SQL Server 2012 Installation
I experienced an error when I tried to install SQL Server 2012 on a Windows 8 Consumer Preview 32 bit OS. I got an error saying:Error while enabling Windows feature: NetFx3, Error Code: -2146498298, Please try enabling
Windows feature: NetFx3 from Windows management tools and then run setup again. For more
information on how to enable Windows features
I serached the net and found that there were other people experiencing the same problem as I did.
Solution? Use "Turn on/off Windows features" to turn on ".Net Frame 3.5 Features". I took the opportunity to also install IIS and all the related files.
And eventually the SQL Server installation was success.
